Types of Traction Current
Aarsleff Rail has extensive experience in the installation, repair, and maintenance of catenary systems. We have delivered catenary work on a wide variety of projects across Scandinavia and Germany, with competencies covering all aspects of traction current systems, including:
- Design, planning and construction of new catenary systems, including installation of foundations and masts
- Expansion, rebuilding, maintenance and adjustment of existing traction current installations
- Permanent and temporary protection of installations and machinery
- Maintenance and day-to-day running of catenary systems on rail and light rail systems
We work across different traction current systems, from 750 V light rail systems, to 1,650 V on Copenhagen’s suburban lines, to 15 kV on Swedish and German railways, and 25 kV on Danish railways.
