Innherredsveien

Innherredsveien in Trondheim was once a European highway and serves as the main eastern access road to the city. It has since been downgraded to a county road and will now be redeveloped into an environmental street focusing on public transport, cycling, and pedestrian infrastructure.

Environmental Street

Innherredsveien is a major infrastructure upgrade, transforming it into a modern, two-lane environmental street. The project includes:

  • Upgrading municipal utility networks
  • Installing OPI channels and new street lighting
  • Building approximately 1,300 meters of road, sidewalks, and cycle paths
  • Establishing new metrobus stations
  • Extensive landscaping work and the creation of recreational spaces
