Aarsleff Rail introduces new hybrid technology in railway projects

Aarsleff Rail has taken an important step towards reducing the environmental impact of railway work. We have invested in a new Huddig 1370T hybrid machine, which is already in operation on Banedanmark’s electrification programme.
We are among the first companies in Denmark to offer this type of machine – and another one is already on the way, enabling us to make use of the benefits on more projects in Denmark, Norway, and Sweden.
The new Huddig 1370T is equipped with a 44 kWh, 90-volt battery and can run for up to five hours on pure electricity when installing overhead lines – which is the machine’s primary task.
Benefits for the environment and working environment
- Less noise and fewer vibrations
- Reduced CO₂ emissions
- No unpleasant fumes
The hybrid technology is particularly well-suited for projects where we can help reduce CO₂ emissions and noise, or where occupational health and safety requirements call for operation without a combustion engine.
This investment allows us to choose an operating mode that better takes into account both the environment and the working environment on projects in Denmark, Norway, and Sweden.
