Meet Leif
Site Manager
Leif Sverre Hanssen
Leif Sverre Hanssen has been part of Aarsleff Rail since 2012, joining the company when it was established under Teknobygg Anlegg. Today, he works as a Site Manager and brings over 40 years of industry experience.
Leif describes the work environment at Aarsleff Rail as highly positive. “People give their best every day, they respect each other, and they take care of one another,” he says. He has contributed to numerous projects, including airport, railway, road, and water infrastructure developments. Some of the notable projects he has worked on include Værnes, Støren Hensetting, Tonstad Metro Station, Metro Water, Saksvik RA, and Innherredsveien.
One of Leif’s most memorable moments at Aarsleff Rail was the successful pressure test of the final pipeline section on the Metro Water project. “We were the only company to deliver a leak-free pipeline on the first attempt. Both we and Trondheim Municipality were very pleased with the result,” he recalls.
When it comes to company culture and inclusivity, Leif highlights the weekly operational meetings, where all project members participate. “I think this is a great way to involve and inform everyone,” he notes. Regarding the collaboration between management and employees, he believes it is generally strong but acknowledges that the company’s rapid growth requires time for relationships and seamless teamwork to develop fully.
In conclusion, Leif states that the best part of working at Aarsleff Rail is the variety of projects, which makes every day exciting, along with the strong team spirit. “It is a close-knit group that works well together and respects one another,” he says.
