Grong Train Station

Grong is a small town 220 km north of Trondheim. The railway station opened in 1929 and was previously the terminus of Nordlandsbanen, with a connection to Namsosbanen until 1999.

350 meters of new lay-by and crossing tracks

1,400 meters of old track and 5 switches demolished

New hub for Nordlandsbanen

The project included:

  • Demolition and reconstruction of tracks and switches
  • Track realignment and installation of new platforms
  • New public address system, lighting, and signaling work
  • Mass replacement, drainage, and installation of track stops
