Major Upgrade on One of Denmark’s Busiest Lines
Thanks to early involvement from 2020, we were able to contribute to the final design phase in close cooperation with Banedanmark. The result was a coordinated 10-stage delivery plan, requiring 119 days of track closures, many with only one track closed at a time.
Between 200 and 400 people were on-site during the busiest phases, while we simultaneously delivered another large-scale track renewal project. The successful delivery of both projects demonstrates Aarsleff Rail’s organizational capacity and ability to handle high production volumes.
Executing a Complex Operation
Aarsleff Rail led full project coordination, including contact with the client and authorities, construction and civil works, catenary and signalling, safety, and logistics. Our trusted partner Spitzke contributed machinery and personnel for mechanical track works.
With neighboring tracks still in operation, safety and planning were paramount. Seamless coordination ensured that all work was delivered safely and efficiently, with zero compromise on the safety of our teams or passing rail traffic.
