Track Renewal in Wet Conditions
The work was completed in six stages over seven months in 2023, using a mix of single-track and full closures. Despite running concurrently with another large-scale renewal project between Odense and Nyborg, the project was successfully delivered—demonstrating the strength and capacity of Aarsleff Rail’s organisation.
Flexible Execution Despite Heavy Rain
The project made full use of Aarsleff Rail’s in-house resources, relying on subcontractors only in specialist areas. This approach ensured better control over production rates, quality, and flexibility in resource management.
The earthworks faced a significant challenge due to heavy rainfall in the 24 hours leading up to execution. By swiftly reallocating equipment and staff, we were able to maintain momentum and complete the work despite the difficult conditions. The ability to draw on Aarsleff Rail’s broader organisational resources was key to overcoming these challenges. All six stages were delivered on time and to the agreed quality standards.
