Light Rail Systems

Aarsleff Rail builds and maintains light railways throughout the Scandinavian region.

In Denmark we have been involved in the construction of Aarhus Letbane, are responsible for the maintenance of Aarhus Letbane and in 2018 we signed a contract for the construction of the 28 km long Greater Copenhagen Light Rail.

Our Swedish sister company in the Aarsleff Rail Group, Anker AB, is a specialist in building, rebuilding, operating and maintenance of light rail systems. Anker AB has light rail skills from many tasks for Swedish municipalities and has extensive cooperation with other contractors related to light railways in both Sweden and Norway. Anker AB has been responsible for operating and maintaining track systems on the light rail system in Norrköping since 2004.
